Europa League State Of Play

With teams dropping down from the UCL, seeding is important in the Europa League. Here’s who is through already and who can still qualify.

Group A

AS Roma have topped the group and will be seeded in the round of 32. Young Boys of Switzerland will join them if they avoid defeat against CFR Cluj on the final day. Cluj need to win to progress. CSKA Sofia are out.

Group B

Arsenal have guaranteed themselves top spot and seeding in the last 32. A win or a draw for Molde will see them progress as runners-up. They face Rapid Vienna, with the Austrians needing to win and overturn a 1-0 head to head deficit. If Rapid concede they will need to win by at least two goals. Dundalk have been eliminated.

Group C

Slavia Prague and Bayer Leverkusen have secured qualification. The two face eachother on the final day. Avoiding defeat or losing by one goal while scoring will see Slavia Prague top the group on head to head. Bayer Leverkusen need to win either 1-0 or by 2 clear goals. Nice and Hapoel Beer Sheva are out.

Group D

Rangers and Benfica have qualified for the knockout rounds. Rangers lead Benfica on head to head by having scored more away goals. Benfica need to better Ranger’s result on the final day. Benfica host Standard Liege while Rangers go to Lech Poznan.

Group E

Granada and PSV have already qualified. PSV need to win against Omonia and hope Granada fail to beat PAOK to top the group. Granada will finish top with a win or if PSV fail to win.

Group F

While Rijeka are out, any of Napoli, Real Sociedad, or AZ Alkmaar can still top the group. Napoli are top on 10 points, meaning they only need a draw against Sociedad to qualify, however if they draw and AZ win, the Dutch side will top the group on head to head. A Sociedad win and AZ win would see both sides through. If both games end in a draw on the final day Napoli and Sociedad will progress.

Group G

Leicester City and Braga are assured a place in the knockout rounds. Leicester lead Braga 7-3 on head to head, which means they will top the group if they at least match Braga’s result. Leicester host AEK Athens on the final day while Braga are at home to Zorya Luhansk.

Group H

Lille sit top of Group H, and along with Milan they have assured qualification. Lille will top the group if they beat Celtic or Milan fail to beat Sparta Prague. Milan need to win and for Lille to fail to pick up the 3 points to come first.

Group I

Villarreal have ensured their status as top seeds in the last 32. Maccabi Tel Aviv will join them in the knockout rounds if they avoid defeat against Sivasspor. Sivasspor need to win to qualify. Qarabag are eliminated.

Group J

Antwerp and Tottenham have guaranteed themselves a place in the knockout rounds. Antwerp will top the group if they avoid defeat against Tottenham in the final game. Tottenham must win to go to the last 32 as top seeds. LASK are eliminated, Ludogorets are yet to pick up a point.

Group K

Dinamo Zagreb will go through in first place. Wolfsberer will join them as runners-up if they avoid defeat against Feyenoord. Feyenoord need to beat Wolfsberger to progress. CSKA Moscow are out.

Group L

All is decided in Group L. Hoffenheim will top the group regardless of the final day results, as they have a superior head to head record than Crvena Zvezda, who have finished as runners-up. Liberec and Genk are out with the Belgians guaranteed to finish bottom.
