As reported by L’Equipe, the top two tiers of French Football, Ligue 1 and Ligue 2, are set to have their seasons cancelled.
Eurosport report that Edouard Philippe, the French Prime Minister, will announce sporting events will not be permitted to take place until August, regardless of whether they are behind closed doors.
The news comes just days after the Eredivisie was cancelled. In the case of the Dutch league, Ajax were denied the title, ad there was no relegation. PSG were 12 points clear of Marseille at the top of Ligue 1.
PSG have been awarded the Ligue 1 title.
Lorient have been declared champions of Ligue 2. Lens are also promoted. Amiens and Toulouse were relegated to Ligue 2.
