We’re Teaming Up With ‘Suicide or Survive’ and DLR Waves!

We’re all on our own mental health journey, but nobody has to be alone on their journey

As you may have seen across our respective social media platforms, we are teaming up with mental health charity Suicide or Survive for fundraising and an awareness campaign with Women’s National League side DLR Waves.

We are delighted to work with a great mental health charity that is close to our hearts in conjunction with promoting the Women’s National League.

We will be holding events at DLR Waves home games, which take place in Jackson Park in Shankill.

The Women’s National League fixtures were released on Thursday

Suicide or Survive is a mental health charity that we have first hand experience dealing with. Our producer Ron found solice in the charity after attempting suicide 3 years ago. We look forward to giving something back to them and are delighted to be working with a charity that is eager to end mental health stigma and start discussions. We feel DLR Waves are progressive club who have made great strides and a re thrilled they have showed such eagerness to promote this cause.

Next Thursday on our domestic football podcast Get Your Bleak On we will hear from members of Suicide or Survive and DLR Waves about the campaign.

Keep an eye on our blog and all our social media pages for updates along the way throughout the year. We hope many of you will come along on this journey.

If you are somebody you know is currently in crisis please note the number for the Samaritans helpline is 116 123.
